Analysis 2

1)    The number of pictures used in this text is just two, one of a mid shot of a two artist who are probably in a band and the other of the front cover of a ‘NME’ music magazine front cover which also shows a close up of an artist in it.

2)    This music magazine font page structure is like any other normal contents page it’s colour scheme matches it’s front cover and masthead. And there is a use of various pictures/images, headings and text boxes with the contents page. The top of the contents page has a border that says NME contents pages in bold sans serif font with the date of the magazines release date below it. There seems to be two category sections on both the left and right hand side of the page, but the category section is evident on the right hand side. It has a of various bands or artist in the news section and also other sections (Radar, Reviews, Live and Features) which are seen in text boxes and contents page has its main image is of the band that go by the name of arctic monkeys with the name of the band below the image and the number of the page beside it.

3)    The artist in the main image is of the ‘Arctic Monkeys’ an English indie rock band. Formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield, the band currently consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, Lead/rhythm guitar), Jamie Cook (rhythm/lead guitar), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Matt Helders (drums, percussion, backing vocals). Former members include Andy Nicholson (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Glyn Jones (lead vocals, rhythm guitar). The members of the band are all predominantly Caucasian males who look as if they’re in their early 20’s and the bands genre of music is Indie rock.

4)    The pictures used in this text do not relate to each other in any kind of way, the image of the arctic monkeys seems to take a great amount of space the band even has its text box and small section that briefs the readers about the band.
