1) The amount of pictures used in this text is one and it is a large image of an artist that goes by the name of ‘Richard Ashcroft’. The image is also used as the background image for the contents page in the ‘Q’ magazine.
2) The contents page structure is simply standard and it doesn’t seem to look like other music magazine contents pages. Unlike other music magazines this magazines contents page simply has one image used within it and the image used is also the background image for the contents page. The features of the music magazines are listed on the left side of the magazine, the features that are listed there are in bold sans serif font with the number of the page beside the feature. The numbers of the features are in red or white while the features of the magazine are either in black or white. With some text below the feature in a small text font used to brief the readers. There is a border above the image of the artist which shows the ‘Q’ magazine logo on the top left side of the page with the words ‘235 contents’ and the issue of the magazine beside it. Last but not least it says ‘I fart in your direction’ Nick Valesni, The Strokes p12 at the bottom of this page above this is also a border and the image of the artist. This magazine lacks other images, columns and text boxes.
3) The artist being photographed is ‘Richard Ashcroft’ an English singer-songwriter. He was the lead singer and occasional guitarist of alternative rock band ‘The Verve’ from their formation in 1990 until their split in 1999, and continues as a lead vocalist working with guitars and keyboards. Later on he became a successful solo artist in his own right, by looking at the image of the artist we can see and tell that he looks like a rock ‘n’ roll type of artist , also by looking at his face we can tell that he is quite old (40 years of age).
4) In the ‘Q’ magazine contents page the image of ‘Richard Ashcroft’ seems to take up almost all of the page up the contents page seems as if it is dedicated to him but it is not we can only see one feature that is related to him in this magazine where it list one of his albums as one of the 100 greatest albums ever.
